Lawyer wellbeing survey for all WA practitioners

09 February, 2024

Lawyer wellbeing, workplace culture and ethics are the focus of a survey open to all WA legal practitioners and available for three weeks.

A link to the anonymous and confidential survey will be emailed on Monday 12 February.

The survey is part of an innovative research study by a team of multidisciplinary researchers from the Australian National University and the University of Melbourne.

The link will be sent simultaneously to practitioners across all three Australian jurisdictions operating under the Uniform Law scheme – Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria.

The study is supported by the legal regulatory bodies in those states, including the Legal Practice Board in Western Australia; as part of our joint commitment to improving wellbeing across the legal profession.

Meaningful change in lawyer wellbeing requires evidence-based action and the research team hopes this will provide new insights and inform future initiatives. Findings from the research will be shared later this year.

We urge all legal practitioners to complete the survey and play their part in improving wellbeing, workplace culture and ethics for the profession.
