Exemptions
If you are unable to comply with your minimum CPD requirements in any CPD year you can apply for a an exemption from completing some or all of your CPD activities under certain circumstances.
Some of the reasons for variations and exemptions include:
- illness or disability.
- hardship or other special circumstances.
- parental leave.
- reduced hours of practice.
- pro rata practice.
The Board’s Continuing Professional Development Guidelines set out the Board’s requirements in seeking in an exemption, in whole or in part, from the requirement to undertake continuing professional development activities.
To apply for an exemption, please complete and submit the approved Application for CPD Form 4 Points Variation or Exemption form.
