Uniform Law in Western Australia video package released

Video package available on anniversary of Uniform Law introduction in WA 

The benefits of Uniform Law in Western Australia are explored in a video package released by the Legal Services Council.

Uniform Law was introduced in WA in 2022, and these videos feature insights into the transition process from key stakeholders including the former WA Attorney General John Quigley and leaders from the Legal Practice Board.

The implementation saw WA join the other Uniform Law participating jurisdictions of New South Wales and Victoria. This means that 75 per cent of Australia’s legal profession are now covered by the same regulatory framework.

The Legal Services Council, together with the Commissioner for Uniform Legal Services Regulation, oversees the operation of the Legal Profession Uniform Law scheme in Australia.
