The workshops cover the intricacies of maintaining a solicitor’s trust account and will be an invaluable resource for practitioners who have recently opened a trust account, and support staff and bookkeepers responsible for maintaining trust records.
These workshops cover:
- how legislation about trust money and trust records aims to protect the interests of persons on whose behalf trust money is held
- the different types of trust money and the recording requirements for each
- how to withdraw money from a trust account for legal bills
- the practical benefits of having a trust account
- when trust statements should be issued.
The Trust Accounting Workshops will be offered in a convenient hybrid format so you can attend in person in the Perth CBD or online via Zoom. Limited to ten participants, the half day workshops cost $150 (inc GST) and include 2.5 CPD Units.
Proper trust accounting is not only a fundamental element of regulatory compliance, it is also a critical safeguard.
