Annual Report tabled in Parliament

09 April, 2025

The Legal Practice Board 2023/24 Annual Report was tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, 8 April 2025.

The Annual Report highlights the Board’s continuing performance under the multi-jurisdictional Uniform Law and improvements in outcomes, including streamlining the resolution of complaints in more efficient, effective, proportionate and targeted ways. The focus on leveraging our data to set targets, identify trends, and minimise delays is also a feature.

The Annual Report details the integration of technology platforms and improvements of data availability and online interaction with stakeholders, including a new website. It also covers the appointment of new members to the Legal Services and Complaints Committee, the introduction of an organisational restructure, as well as continuing support for the Board’s diversity and reconciliation targets, and the safe portal for reporting inappropriate behaviour in the legal profession.

The Annual Report details organisational performance, activities and services, as well as financial statements and other information required by law. It is an important tool to inform key stakeholders – legal profession, consumers, Board members, stakeholders and other government agencies – about our achievements, challenges and plans.
