Law Library Proximity Card

16 Feb 2018

With the completion of the Law Library integration, there has been a consolidation of the library resources of the Department of the Attorney General, now operated and held by the Department of Justice (the Department), and the Supreme Court Judges Libraries with those of the Board’s Law Library located at the old Supreme Court. The new Law Library is located on level 2 of the David Malcolm Justice Centre at 28 Barrack Street, Perth.

The Board contributes $600,000 per annum, on behalf of the profession, towards the costs of the integrated Law Library. The contribution ensures that eligible practitioners are able to access the resources and services of the Law Library. However, since the opening of the Law Library, on 1 July 2016, access has been difficult and cumbersome. To that end, the Board has agreed with the Department to assist in the facilitation of providing a Law Library Proximity Card that will allow the holder to directly access level 2 and the Law Library.

Practitioners wishing to obtain a Law Library Proximity Card need to complete the attached request. Please note that the request must be submitted to the Law Library before the Board can provide the confirmation as set out in section 2 of the request.
