Administrative Assistant (Practising Certificates)

The Legal Practice Board (Board) is seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant to join our busy and friendly team in the CBD.

The Board is constituted under the Legal Profession Act 2008. The Board has statutory responsibility for the regulation of legal practice in Western Australia, including the granting and renewal of local practising certificates, and the discipline of legal practitioners through the Legal Profession Complaints Committee.
The position available is for a full time Administrative Assistant (Practising Certificates).

This is a key position in assisting with the processing of applications for the issue of practising certificates, incorporated legal practices and multi disciplinary partnerships, maintaining the Board practitioner database, and providing general administrative support.

The Legal Practice Board is seeking the services of a legal practitioner, working with the Legal Profession Complaints Committee (LPCC), who is interested in making a difference and contributing to the highest standards of professional practice in the legal profession.

The objectives of the LPCC are to promote and enforce the professional standards and honesty of the legal profession. To provide an efficient and expeditious system for dealing with complaints, initiate disciplinary proceedings as appropriate; and maintain a productive and motivating work environment.

The position which is available is Senior Legal Officer, full-time, 12 month contract, with opportunity for extension.
